Icelandic politician may become world's first lesbian Prime Minister
he President of Iceland has asked Social Democratic party leader Ingibjorg Gisladottir to try to form an interim administration.
It is reported that Social Affairs Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir will be named as interim Prime Minister.
If chosen Ms Sigurdardottir, 66, will become the first openly gay or lesbian person to become a head of government.
She has been an MP since 1978 and was recently voted the most popular politician in Iceland.
Yesterday the country's Prime Minister stood down and the entire Cabinet resigned.
A general election has been called for May 9th.
The government was toppled by the financial crisis, which severely affected the Icelandic banking system.
The International Monetary Fund began a $2.1bn (£1.49bn) bailout programme in December to stop the nation of 320,000 people going bankrupt.
Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden are lending Iceland an additional $2.5bn.

Call to give fake goods the boot
What do Nike trainers, Versace T-shirts, Golden Virginia tobacco and Glenn's vodka all have in common? They have all been counterfeited and sold in Wigan.
Between September 2007 and August 2008 the Metro Trading Standards department seized more than 2,600 fake goods bought by Wiganers who thought they had got the "real deal" at a bargain price.
According to Julie Middlehurst, chief trading standards officer, the number of dodgy deals will escalate over the next year.
She said: "Despite the continued warnings of punishments, including unlimited fines, up to ten years in jail and the seizure of assets, street traders and other serial counterfeiters continue to break the law.

PETA: Urge the NFL to Test Michael Vick for Brain Disorder!
Today, PETA sent a letter to the National Football League asking that convicted dogfighter Michael Vick be subjected to a psychological test as well as an MRI brain scan like the one now in use at the Western New Mexico Correctional Facility in order to look for evidence of clinical psychopathy or anti-social personality disorder. Based on the fact that Vick funded and participated in a massive dogfighting operation (playing a direct role in hanging, drowning, or shooting countless dogs—and even slamming dogs to the ground to break their backs), it might seem obvious that there's something wrong with the guy. But whether or not Vick is indeed a clinical psychopath is an important piece of a bigger puzzle.
For the past 18 months, PETA has been meeting with Vick's management and legal teams behind the scenes about having Vick deliver a strong anti-dogfighting TV spot. If Vick is truly remorseful for what he's done, as he's said publically and privately, then a message from him telling people to stop these crimes could get through to dogfighters who relate to him. However, that's a big "if."

Think imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? Not according to Giorgio Armani, Domenico Dolce, or Stefano Gabbana.
Giorgio Armani is accusing Dolce and Gabbana of copying the quilted men’s pants Armani designed and showed in June in the Fall/Winter 2009-10 menswear collection of their diffusion line D & G. As is reported in The Guardian – “Though the creators of fashion often complain of having their creations ripped off by High Street labels, it is highly unusual for a designer with a global reputation to point a finger at his or her peers. Yet on Sunday evening Giorgio Armani did just that.”
Armani is claiming that at least sixteen pairs of the quilted pants walked down the D & G runway and the designer told reporters – “Now they copy me. Tomorrow they will learn. I would understand if they were nobodies. But honestly!”
That said an Armani spokespman says that Armani was only making observations and does not plan on suing the Italian design team.
For their part Dolce and Gabbana deny Armani’s claim saying that they surely have plenty to learn, but “certainly not from him”. In a statement the Sicilian design duo add “the Armani style was never a source of inspiration for us and it is years since we have bothered to watch his collections.”
Bitter words from both parties indeed.

New John Legend Video - "Everybody Knows"
"Everybody Knows" is the second single from John Legend’s latest album "Evolver". The video was directed by Anthony Mandler and shot on in the streets of New York. It's a hearfelt, and beautiful song/video.

The top five places that I don't want to eat are:
1. Toilet or (table near the toilet)
2. Hospital (Food and medical does not go together people!)
3. Morgue (unless I am a cannibal)
4. Underwater restaurant(phobia!)
5. In a roller coaster!(I don't want to spill my food in my frock)
But hey look number 3 upset just opened in Mad Latvia!
A unique, weird restaurant has opened in Riga, Latvia named “Hospitalis“.It is a must-see place if you like gore things. The restaurant looks like a medicine cabinet, while you are treated as a patient and taken good care by the long-legged waitresses in nurses uniforms.
The food is served in flasks and operating-room’s dishes and isn’t that cheap (7 and more lats per meal), but this is a bizarre experience that is worth breaking the bank. Besides, the place is owned by local doctors, but unfortunately, the president of Latvia, who is also a doctor, declined his appearance at the opening once he realized how weird this place actually is.
