PLAYLIFEMANIA: Drag world! We have Miss Artemis Chase in the house! Good day America. This is Ireland calling. Now dahling Chase,Tell us about the New Rupaul's Drag Race(TV channel dates and about the format of the show)

MISS ARTEMIS CHASE: "Rupaul's Drag Race" is going to be the very first drag queen reality show on television. This is truly a groundbreaking event for the drag
community! It is being described as combining elements from America's
Next Top Model, Project Runway, and American Idol. They have not told
us everything that will have to be done on the show, but there will
definitely be lots of fabulous performing, fierce outfit designing,
crazy wig styling and all out drag drama! The show is scheduled to air
on Logo starting in early 2009.

PLAYLIFEMANIA: Oh we can't wait for 2009! Wow sounds supah-funtabulous! BTW This gonna be just fun right? Tell us about your stage persona. My readers ovah here @ PLAYLIFEMANIA.COM are very excited to know about Miss Artemis Chase.

MISS ARTEMIS CHASE:I have been performing as Artemis for the past 7 years. I started out in Portland, OR, but quickly found my way to New York City where I fine
tuned my on stage persona. I performed at about every drag stage in NYC
including such notable spots as Barracuda, Splash Bar, The Cock,
Stonewall, and The Slide! After three years in the Big Apple I was
ready for a change and found my way to San Francisco where I now reside
and perform.

I consider myself to be the "people's drag queen". So many queens hide
backstage before a show not to be seen and quickly disappear after. But
I have always liked to be a part of the crowd and interact with as many
of my fans and audience members as possible. That is why I am always
looking for new fun ways to incorporate drag into parties instead of
always just doing classic shows. A few of the fun things I have hosted
at parties are drag hosted strip poker, drag queen wrestling, drag
jeopardy, and a myriad of dance parties!

PLAYLIFEMANIA: What can we expect from Team Chase?

MISS ARTEMIS CHASE: I am always looking for new and interesting opportunities and I hope to keep pushing the boundaries of what drag queens can do! If I make it
onto "Rupaul's Drag Race" I hope to show the world that drag queens can
do a lot more than just lipsynch on stage!

PLAYLIFEMANIA: And world peace o course! Well your queenly name is being mentioned all over the blogaysphere cheering for Artemis Chase! We are wishing you best of luck for this new exciting entertainment mania. Before anything else tell us about your most favorite act as drag star?

MISS ARTEMIS CHASE:It is terribly hard to pick one favorite drag act of all time! I think it is going to have to be a tie between Candis Cayne performing "Car
Wash" while actually washing a car and Lypskina's "Phone Call Montage".
My own personal acts to perform are my "Whitney on Crack" and "It's Oh So
Quiet" by Bjork.


PLAYLIFEMANIA: oh deadly! and Of course with loads of oh mommmmmmmy naked men naked adoring you. But I think you don't need those hot men to help you take home RuPaul's Medusa crown. Back to the glorious part of this coming show. What will be the chances of the crown landing in your knickers?

MISS ARTEMIS CHASE: It is going to be a tough battle, but I think that I stand a strong chance. I have a lot more diversity in my performances and styles of
drag than a lot of queens which will work in my advantage. I also have
an incredibly strong passion for what I do and I am sure that will shine
through!

PLAYLIFEMANIA: That's our girl! Let's do trans-atlantic. Ovah here in Dublin Ireland our drag scene here is very diverse. We have the biggest Queen race called Alternative Miss Ireland. It's a massive pageantry and faggotry for good cause! Have you been to Dublin Ireland? Do you know anybody from the Leprechaun's land? It's just a small island. I might know the one you're talking :)

MISS ARTEMIS CHASE : I have never been to Ireland, but I would absolutely love to visit!
Hopefully I will get the chance to make that happen within the next
couple years. I have had a number of friends from Ireland over the
years that I have adored and my boyfriend is actually Irish himself
(although he has never lived in Ireland).
